Loft Conversion Bungalow
A loft conversion to a bungalow. Adding 3 bedrooms and a family shower suite. A design and build project with a rear elevation flat roof dormer and a front elevation flat roof dormer. A side elevation gable wall construction is also part of the design. This project took 9 weeks to complete. We design and build loft conversions to the highest standard. Gable Wall Construction
The start of the loft conversion the scaffolding is erected and we remove the roof tiles to the side elevation. The ridge is then extended to construct the new roof. Once the new roof is formed we then construct the gable wall. This can be built in timber/ tile hung, brick cavity wall or block/ render. This conversion was constructed in timber and tile hung which creates a slightly larger space inside.
Rear Elevation Flat Roof Dormer
A full width rear elevation flat roof dormer is constructed creating 2 bedrooms. It is important to select the correct cladding as this is strictly a permitted development rule. The choice of material must blend in with the existing roof and surrounding area. A choice of roof tiles can be seen in our roof tile brochures on Dormers Page. When having a loft conversion there are other permitted development and planning rules we need to adhere to.
